Greener Living Soap Nuts

The mighty soap berry tree (Sapindus Mukorossi) has been around a very long time. They grow in the jungles of Nepal and India. Soap nuts contain saponin, a soapy substance. which acts like a detergent when mixed with water. Soap nuts are chemical free, extremely economical, effective, and friendly to both our health and the health of the environment.

Soap nuts are a 100% natural cleanser that has many uses with laundry being one of its best. By the way, soap nuts really are not nuts at all but the dried fruit (not the edible kind) of the sapindus mukorossi tree.

My personal complaint about "natural" products is that often they are more expensive and just not as effective as the engineered products we are used to using.  Personally, I was very skeptical. In search of the best, I tried six different brands and determined that not all soap nuts are created equal! I have been using Greener Living Soap Nuts since spring 2009. I can honestly say that they work, and they work extremely well, for a fraction the cost of laundry soap and softener.
